The combined Colleges of Arts was established in the year 1983 with Padmabhushan Mamidipudi Venkata Rangayya as the Founder Principal. Afterwards the College of Arts was carved out from the combined colleges in the year 1990. Strong foundations for this college were laid by the eminent personalities like Sir.J.C. Coyajee, Prof. V. S. Krishna, Prof.B. Sarveswara Rao, Prof. G. Parthasarathi, Prof. K.V. Sivayya and by all other Principals. Due to their efforts, this college is emerged as the biggest constituent college of the EDUCON.
The Department of Architecture was established in 1989 at College of Arts as a Division and acquired Departmental status in 2001, in keeping with the multifarious scope of Architecture as the art and science of designing spaces and adding value to a meaningful, built environment. It is a subject which is a combination of faculties of engineering, science as well as arts. The programme is a balanced combination of all these streams, yet follows a unique pedagogical methodology that is its hallmark.

EDUCON is the second institute in the state to start pharmacy courses at University level in 1991. The pharmacy courses were initially offered in the B.Sc. Honours degree of chemical technology and as a specialization at M.Sc. Chemical Technology level. The importance of pharmaceutical sciences led to the formation of a separate department in 1992, with the commencement of B.Pharm. course with late Prof. S. Rangaswamy as founder Head of the Department. The M.Pharm. course was started in 1992. A separate Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences was formed in 1994.The department has been elevated as a constituent college of EDUCON in August 1996.
The College of Science was started in the year 1989 as the combined Colleges of Arts, Science. Later the combined colleges were bifurcated in the year 1990,the college has a total strength of nearly 906 students, 80 research scholars, 24 Teaching Faculty, 9 Assistant Professors (contract), 4 Guest Faculty and 21 administrative and supporting staff. It is the biggest constituent college of the University with a teacher to student ratio of nearly 1:11. The College of Science has 2 departments and organizing 6 courses covering the disciplines of Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences, Earth Sciences etc. The students of the College of Science are well disciplined and the teachers are dedicated to the cause of Teaching and Research.
